As a Catholic, you really need to know these prayers at your finger tips, and say them at least daily.



These are the powerful and wonderful catholic daily prayers:

SIGN OF THE CROSS


In the Name of the Father, And the Son, And the Holy Spirit. 

Amen.

THE LORD'S PRAYER


Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name;
thy kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven.
Give us this day our daily bread;
and forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us;
and lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil.


HAIL MARY


Hail Mary full of Grace, the Lord is with thee. Blessed are thou among women and blessed is the fruit of thy womb Jesus. 

Holy Mary Mother of God, pray for us sinners now and at the hour of our death, Amen.


GLORY BE THE FATHER


Glory be to the Father and to the Son and to the Holy Spirit. As it was in the beginning is now, and ever shall be, world without end. Amen.


THE DAILY OFFERING TO THE IMMACULATE HEART OF MARY


O Jesus, through the Immaculate Heart of Mary,

I offer you my prayers, works, joys, and suffering of this day in union with the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass throughout the world. 

I offer them for all the intentions of Your Sacred Heart: the salvation of souls, reparation for sins, the reunion of all Christians;

I offer them for the intentions of our Bishops and of all Apostles of Prayer and in particular for those recommended by our Holy Father this month.

                  ACT OF CONTRITION


O my God, I am heartily sorry for having offended you, and I detest all my sins, because I dread the loss of Heaven, and the pains of Hell; but most of all because I love you, my God, Who art all good and deserving of all my love. I firmly resolve, with the help of Thy grace, to confess my sins, to do penance, and to amend my life. 
       

                ANGEL PRAYER


Angel of God, My Guardian Dear
God's love for me has sent You here.

Ever this day be at my side
to light and guard, to rule and guide. 

My dear guardian angel, teach me to know God, to love and serve Him and save my soul. 

Keep me from all dangers and lead me to heaven. Amen.


PRAYER TO SAINT MICHAEL THE ARCHANGEL


Saint Michael the Archangel, 
defend us in battle, be our protection against the wickedness and snares of the devil. 

May God rebuke him we humbly pray; 
and do thou, O Prince of the Heavenly host, by the power of God, cast into hell Satan and all evil spirits who wander through the world seeking the ruin of souls. Amen.

                    APOSTLES' CREED


I believe in God, the Father almighty,
Creator of heaven and earth,
and in Jesus Christ, his only Son, our Lord,
who was conceived by the Holy Spirit,
born of the Virgin Mary,
suffered under Pontius Pilate,
was crucified, died and was buried;
he descended into hell;
on the third day he rose again from the dead;
he ascended into heaven,
and is seated at the right hand of God the Father almighty;
from there he will come to judge the living and the dead.

I believe in the Holy Spirit,
the holy catholic Church,
the communion of saints,
the forgiveness of sins,
the resurrection of the body,
and life everlasting.

              MORNING PRAYER


O my God, I adore You and I love You with all my heart. I thank You for heaving created me, having saved me by Your grace, and for having preserved me during the night. I offer you all my prayers, works, joys, and sufferings of this day. Grant that they may be all according to Your will and for Your greater glory. 

Keep me from all sin and evil, and may Your grace be with me  always and with those I love. Amen

             NIGHT PRAYER

O my God, I adore You and I love You with all my heart. I thank You for heaving created me, having saved me by Your grace, and for having preserved me during this day. 

I pray that You will take for Yourself whatever good I might have done this day, and that You will forgive me 
whatever evil I might have done. Protect me this night, and may Your grace be with me always and with those I love. Amen.


         PRAYER BEFORE MEALS


Bless us Oh Lord, and these thy gifts, which we are about to receive, from thy bounty, through Christ, Our Lord. 
Amen.

PRAYER AFTER MEALS


We give you thanks, O Lord for Thy gifts which we have received from Thy bounty.

Through Christ our Lord.

V. The Angel of the Lord declared unto
      Mary.

Pour forth, we beseech Thee, O Lord, Thy grace into our hearts, that we to whom the Incarnation of Christ Thy Son was made known by the message of an angel, may by His Passion and Cross be brought to the glory of His Resurrection. Through the same Christ Our Lord. Amen.

        PRAYER BEFORE CONFESSION


Come Holy Spirit into my soul,
Enlighten my mind that I may know the sins I ought to confess,
and grant me Your grace to confess them fully,
humbly and with contrite heart.

Help me to firmly resolve not to commit them again.
O Blessed Virgin,
Mother of my Redeemer,
mirror of innocence and sanctity,
and refuge of penitent sinners,
intercede for me through the Passion of Your Son,
that I may obtain the grace to make a good confession.

All you blessed Angels and Saints of God,
pray for me,
a most miserable sinner,
that I may repent from my evil ways,
that my heart may henceforth
be forever united with yours in eternal love.

Amen.

Come, Friend of the Sick,
and heal the infirmities of my body
and the weakness of my soul.

Come, Good Shepherd, 
my God and my All,
and take me to yourself.
O most holy Mother, Mary Immaculate,
prepare my heart to receive my Saviour.


PRAYERS AFTER HOLY COMMUNION

What has passed our lips as food, O Lord, may we possess in purity of heart, 
that what is given to us in time, 
be our healing for eternity. 

May Your Body, O Lord, 
which I have eaten, 
and Your Blood which I have drunk, cleave to my very soul, 
and grant that no trace of sin be found in me, 
whom these pure and holy mysteries have renewed. 
Who live and reign, world without end. 

Amen.
